Had to take off a star
This is a continuation of my last review. Most of this device is still pretty great, but the mainboard solution is very underwhelming. I've had trouble maintaining a serial connection with octoprint, and having to update the firmware on two separate boards is a hassle. The mainboard may be 32 bit, but the machine is not silent (at all). The motion system is not core xy as advertised (which is good for me, it's easier to troubleshoot and uses less processing). Customer support is responsive and helpful, and the belt appears to have less adhesion issues than the CR-30. This printer would be better if it had an all metal extruder assembly and an all metal hotend (the heat brake liner got jammed for me and it is a hassle to disassemble to repair/replace), and of course a better mainboard with upgraded stepper motor drivers.
Extremely Easy to Set Up
This is my 3rd 3d printer, but it is the first one for which the first print was immediately successful. The printer is shipped almost ready to print, I only had to level the bed. I have mine mounted on a wall. The fans are a little bit loud, but the motors are pretty quiet. I would prefer a more polished user interface on the web portal, but it works well enough as is. I will likely add a raspberry pi for finer control and to monitor prints remotely.
