Cost Effective

By eliminating the high retail markup, SainSmart is able to offer a sensible package with unrivaled quality in the entry-level space. The compact design allows Ender-3 to fit in the trunk of your car or even back seat,  while still providing 6x more build volume than other entry-level printers.

High Precision & Noiseless

The CNC-machined Y-axis mounting slot ensures highly precise positioning of the printer head. V-slot POM (polyoxymethylene) wheels allow the nozzle to glide smoothly and silently.

No Clogging or Warping

Our patented extruder design greatly reduces the risk of a clogged nozzle. There’s no need for printing tape or glue due to the incorporation of a new viscous platform sticker.

Fast Heating & Resume Print Feature

The heated bed can reach its operating temperature in just five minutes. The printer is shielded by its power supply from voltage spikes and power outages. If electrical power is lost, prints can be resumed from the last layer, saving time and reducing waste.

This easy-to-setup kit comes partially assembled, allowing you to learn about the basic construction of 3D printers as you finish putting it together. A fun STEM educational experience in mechanical engineering and electronics.

Tips about Levelling

If you happened to receive a severely bowed bed plate after unboxing, please contact us immediately for a replacement. If it is a slight curve (±0.2mm), you could manage to fix it through the following steps.

  • Adjust the bed step-by-step according to the User Manual (see page 20). If the central part is uneven while the corners are flat, please try to level the bed on each of the four corners meticulously.
  • After finishing the steps on the manual, if it is still uneven, please try to print by adding raft in CURA.

I love this printer

This isn't my first Ender 3 and i haven't had time to print with it yet, but it went together beautifully and was delivered faster than I thought!

Awesome 3D Printer at a very affordable price!

This is my very first exposure to 3D printing. I was a bit overwhelmed by the whole assembly project and use at first, but taking things one step at a time helped greatly. The assembly booklet is essential drawing based, but simple enough to follow. I assembled the printer much faster than the time I thought it would take. I found a Youtube video online to help me with initial and first print. Issue fixed: I found that Z-axis (up-down) motor was grinding gears and not moving the bar with the heating element up and down. After googling on binding issue with Z-axis on Ender 3, if found that I simply had to loosen the two screws that hold the threader for the large Z-axis up/down rod (works like a nut). The torque required after that was dramatically less for the motor to turn the Z-bolt, thus allowing the motor to handle the torque required. Lots learned and as my attached video shows, I am printing the first test SD file that is on the micro SD card (3D Dog print). Overall, I am extremely happy with this product (once I finally found out how to fix the Z-axis movement issue). I look forward to installing and printing the Eiffel Tower next (mini-replica of course ;-) )!!! Great product for the money!

Great printer for the price!

So far I've made my money back and then some with this printer. Between printing upgrades for other things and printing items I need around the house (and replacement parts for broken gear) it's been a great investment!

Totally worth the time, money, and efforts!

easy to install - all the main pieces were already assembled and all you gotta do is tighten them in the right place, took over an hour for a full install but not more than 2. Also, you can see quality of craftsmanship in the product, its packaging and instructions. - the provided micro SD card has all instructions and drivers PLUS a setup video which isn't listed in the product page. - print quality is amazing! Very reminiscent of my first 3d printer - it can print high quality prints and fast too!! I can't believe it's listed 180mm/s, cura won't let it go past 150. At those speeds, details are harder to make out on small print outs so use fast speeds for larger not-detailed prints. - heated bed and aluminum frame is a LOT better than wood you find on some 3d printers. Those made of skimpy wood have a tendency to warp over time or break as the wood ages and cannot be transported also becomes misaligned...none of those problems exist with this printer. - excellent customer service - I thought the printer needed reprogramming, it turns out I didn't attach a sensor cable to the sensor (doh!) Problem got solved and I have an awesome printer!! - my first 3d printer got used heavily for about 1.5years and it lasted for 3. I have a feeling this one will last even longer, totally worth the price. Oh the frame moves a bit, not the end of the world at all. No need to cry. The printer is amazing. You can add an adhesive as a way to stabilize the base. The printer doesn't wobble, it can slightly move if someone applies force on it...also depends on the flatness of surface where the printer is on.

Pretty great

If you're a handy person at all this will be super worth it. There are some fidgety things to mess with that will make printing better. But it was a good investment in some tech that is fun to mess with. I did notice that part cooling fan is a little noisy but I'm going to replace them with 5015s anyways. Do your research and buy this thing. My print quality is great.

I am satisfied and happy with the purchase.

pent ~1.5-2 hours to assemble, I can't tell it is easy or hard, never been assemble 3D printer before but I figure out without too much hard time. Oversize is adequate for me, not too big to fit in my small place. I want to use it for cassette player's plastic parts and occasionally some other parts I might need to fix relatively smaller things, and educate my son/daughter to use it for fun. It looks not as fancy as those expensive ones but given the price I have no complaining at all. So far I like it and found lot of fun printing little things. I need more time to figure out how to really use it upon my Walkman/cassette deck projects which are laying there for years. I would recommend to friends.

With a Few Adjustments It's a Great Machine

This printer is pretty impressive for the money. The build didn't take but an hour too. A couple tips though: if the printer is not powering on, make sure the input voltage is set to 115v on the power supply box, and two, if you're having problems with prints coming off the bed mid-print make sure your bed is leveled well (obsess over this) and putting some painters tape down guarantees it won't come off. Other than that it runs great. One gripe though is that it didn't come advertised, and that's why it is 4 stars - it does not say ender 3 on the control panel or the extruder! Very happy over all though. However, you can find them cheaper other places, and I don't believe anymore that the re-seller's brand has anything at all to do with the quality, so just get the cheapest!

Youll need to be patience and tweak a few settings.

My first 3D printer and love it. I would google the 7 top mods. They are needed. I went and got a glass bed from a local shop and the plastic sticks well and comes off easy! Only con: I have big hand and putting together the printer parts to the rail was a bit hard for me. But not bad.

Affordable and quiet

I was looking for a 3D printer for my son, who was working on a 3D printing related project. I came across this one and was attracted to it because of the cheap price. Most of the other printers I have seen were too expensive for casual 3D printing users like us. After a month, my son still frequently uses it, and I, too, am amazed at the high precision and the quietness. I hope that in the future, I get to learn more about this printer and use it more.

very satisfied with this printer

I recently received this product as a birthday present and I am already very satisfied with this printer. I had never worked with 3D printers prior to receiving this and I expected this entire thing to be overly complicated. To my delight, this was not the case. The building process very easy and really reminded me of building Lego sets when I was younger. The entire process took about an hour and I was able to print right after. Because I have never worked with 3D printers before, I cannot make a comparison with other brands; however, as cliche as it sounds, this product has completely exceeded my expectations. This printer even seems to be of higher quality than those I have seen in YouTube videos. While playing around with a few test prints, I've never encountered any issues with the quality of the prints or with the machine itself. As a teenager, I would recommend this product to any parent. I've showed my prints to a few of my friends and they've all seemed interested. In fact, I've even received a request to print something out for one of those friends. P.S. I still remembered a few years ago when my son was still in elementary school he was fascinated by the demo 3D printer in Staples. However it was so expensive at that time and I was lucky he didn't ask Santa for one:). Thru the years he grew up learning programming language, hacking the video games and joining the robotic team in his school. And finally, the price of 3D printer dropped to what we can afford as a toy. I asked my happy boy to write a review and share his experience.
