The robotic arm is rotating multiple-dimensional, in front crawl the elongation distance of robotic arm is range from 50mm to 450mm (1.97" to 17.72"). The torque force of a single servo is up to 30KG, and the load capacity of bottom joint is up to 500g.
We provide assembling video in order to make it easier to assemble the robotic arm.
As for hardware we still provide Upgrade component to make the robotic arm more high-performance. The roating platform brings more stabilization and precision to the arm, the drive board makes it more convenient to control the arm, you do not need Dupont Line any more, just insert the servo into the shield and control your arm to do any job as you want.

The arm was easy to assemble with the available instructions download provided here on Sainsmart however getting the arm to function was a challenge. You can write your own code from scratch if you have enough experience. I was under the impression code was available for this product. On the product page it is not however after asking CS for help they directed me to a page with codes that worked sorta. They gave 4 DOF and not all 6. 2 servos didn't respond. I eventually found an arduino sketch for 6 servos controlled via 6 10k potentiometers which was much better. My 6yr old son had a great time using it to hold a laser pointer and tease our cats. LOL. The kit came with all required parts and does work once you get the code figured out. The servos are strong and well made, the arduino boards work flawlessly as do the shields. All hardware is well made/machined and nothing was missing. It even comes with an "MPU6050 3 axis accelerometer" which is great for motion control builds. I gave 4 stars only because of limited, partially working codes and documentation. Bear in mind that a lot of assembly is required, and documentation is lacking. If you're not already familiar with hobby electronics, this kit may be overwhelming to you. I'm impressed by the quality of the mechanical components (the structural part is powder-coated metal; feels very sturdy). The sainsmart electronics (Arduino clones and shields) are functional, but not great quality (for example, some scratches on the PCBs, many thru-hole components soldered on at wonky angles). Some of the header pins were bent during transit, too. Overall, a good value for the price! Happy hacking :)
