High Strength
With the all-aluminum body, high rigidity spindle holder and new linear guide structure, the 3020-PRO MAX can easily mill on a wider range of materials with high precision, the increased speed would not compromise the carve.
Redesigned Control Board
Still based on open-source Grbl v1.1, the redesigned control board provides more operational capability and extensibility for the 3020-PRO MAX CNC machine. It integrates the interface for offline controller, XYZ axis limit switches, emergency stop switches, Z-probe and more. Also, it supports the laser engraving (Need to order the laser module separately).

Integrated Scale Aluminum Platform
One-piece machined and molded aluminum design ensures flatness and strength of the platform. Integrated scale design is convenient for material positioning. The platform compatible with most of the CNC clamps on the market.

An Update
An update on my purchase of the 3020 Pro-Max I've been eyeing the 3018's for some time. Christmas 2020 I learned of the MAX series which was starting to become available from a number of manufacturers and even in the 3020 format. I watched these for a while and liked the various upgrades offered beyond the size. This past November I made a decision to go with the Genmitsu 3020 Pro-max as I was impressed by the number of upgrades they had rolled into their machine. (All metal, beefier stepper motors and extruded parts, increased Z range, linear bearings on the x-axis on steel guides, upgraded spindle, ...) I was convinced it was not worth my time or effort to buy something else and then start on upgrades. They also featured the most upgrades I could determine at the time among various 3020 products available as well as some not available elsewhere. Overall the machine appears solid and well built for this class of machine. Of course, we all notice things we might do differently - hindsight is 20-20. There were some loose screws in the pre-assembled items (even one completely out) and last night I found another which vibrated its way to a new home not originally intended. Eventually, some light thread lock will sort these out but I suspect in general a good torque is likely to hold them in place. I do wish these machines had an assembly that reduced tramming errors. However, with a square, I've done a rather coarse adjustment during the setup and facing a spoil board reduces issues further. I don't think there is another equivalent machine of this class out there. Some will likely pop up but Genmitsu has produced a product to consider. A heads up for Canadians - I ordered using the "Canada" button on the site available at the time. I'm not sure what this actually did as it still shipped from the US resulting in additional fees. Over and above the HST (tax = $82.98 CDN) which was expected it cost an additional $68.65 CDN for clearance/disbursement, and tax on these. FedEx billed this 2 months after the order. So just be aware and ready as this is an unknown cost when purchasing. I was hoping the Pro-MAX was available on Amazon here and these costs would have been accounted for but I could only order from the Sainsmart website. Overall happy but wish Sainsmart had a more transparent sales process in Canada. I have to sort out an enclosure and dust control still but have it rigged up now to contain dust from panel and PCB items I'm working on. I have yet to try aluminum which was one of the reasons I went with this model. Ok - time to go pay FedEx....

why give it a 4 star rating if you havent assembled it yet? Xd normal procedure is to assemble and use it and then give it a rating

later
Haven't assembled and used it yet.
