You will need to spend an hour leveling the glass heated bed but once you get that dialed in your good to go
This is 3d printer works right out of the box. You will need to spend an hour leveling the glass heated bed but once you get that dialed in your good to go. There are a lot of Youtube videos showing you how to set it up and do your own mods. The thing I like the most about this printer is that it is so stripped down and basic. You can find spare parts (if you need them) and maintain the unit or do upgrades to make it better. I'm using "Cura" for my slicer (free download) and have gotten better quality and flatter parts than I've gotten off of $7000.00 machines. It will be slower than the higher end printers but well worth the money.
I love my printer
I love my printer. Have been printing almost non-stop since it arrived. Just make sure you follow the set up instructions on the SD card that comes with it. The paper instructions are worthless.
Comes with a glass build plate which is awesome, the ultimate didnt
Its very quiet compared to my monoprice ultimate ($700). Comes with a glass build plate which is awesome, the ultimate didnt. Also came with a couple other useful components the other didnt. I didnt have to print a new filament spool or filament guide like I did for the Ultimate.
