Awesome scope.

Best CAN Bus oscilloscope out there beats my M4 snap-on.Their are a few bugs, but completely worth the cost vs others.

Awesome scope especially for price

I'm an ASE L1 master tech and I'm currently a foreman for a heavy equipment dealer as well as an automotive instructor. ive had the TO1104 for a few years and I absolutely lov e this scope. I have used lab based and snap on scopes and this one is up there. I actually prefer the micsig over the snap on vantage. With the storage space it has i have a good library of known good wave forms at the touch of a finger. The only negative I have to say is that your numerical display of voltage do not appear on a live capture, you have turn on cursors and measure it. And if you're not a avid scope user take your time with it, and buy attenuators

Nice scope tablet

I have pc based 4 channel and a android with 4 channel scope. and it a pita getting out all that hardware. I've been looking for a good tablet 4 channel scope and finally found it. ATO1104 Automotive version of the STO. Comes with 4-10:1 probes, 4- scope leads, 4 large clips and 4 flexible back probes. Rated at 300 volts and using the 10:1 probes require no attenuators. This tablet scope is versatile and real handy. Been a diagnostic tech for 35 years and use at all the time

ATO1104 is great.

This oscilloscope is more than just an automotive scope. It can be used for almost anything you need a lab scope for. The controls are intuitive and it is very portable. I'm glad to have and use it.

If youre looking for an automotive scope, you cant go wrong with the Micsig ATO1104

My name is Adam, I am a longtime diyr and have a small mobile auto diagnostic & repair service. I wanted a scope that was a stand alone device, and at a reasonable price. No need for a laptop. After watching every video I could find, and after reading all the reviews; I decided on the Micsig ATO1104 automotive 4 channel DSO (Digital storage oscilloscope). I purchased it here on Amazon for about $800 and received it almost right away. I dont work for Micsig, and they have given me nothing. These are my thoughts after a couple few months of use. All and all, Im glad I made the purchase; just wish I didnt wait so long. Im one of those shoppers that spend countless hrs doing research before I finally commit. The scope starts up fast. It seem really responsive. This was my first oscilloscope, and it took me no time at all to find my way around the controls. If you can use a smart phone or tablet, you can find your way around this scope. In fact, I think they call it a tablet oscilloscope. The ATO1104 & ATO1102 both have a number of preset options for automotive diagnostics. I debated myself fo some time before committing to the ATO, and Im glad I made that choice. Having the presets simply saves a lot of time. I dont know about you, but when Im in a customers drive way, or they drop their car at my house to be diagnosed; they are almost always in a hurry; so the presets definitely help. I like how I can press the quick save button to save a reference waveform to my files. I can take a picture & a video. Once saved I can always bring the reference waveforms up on the scope to compare to live waveforms. Also, you can label your reference waveforms for future use. I like the horizontal and vertical cursors, and that they display the information on the top right side of the screen. I like that it has the cursors for degrees. If you are doing a cam crank correlation, you can pull them up, put in the number of cylinders on the car, and choose the degrees you want (ex 365 degrees or 720 degrees). I like all the measurements options. I like that I can see the automotive communications such as CAN HI & CAN Lo, Flex, UART, KLINE, etc., and that I can decode them. I like that I can connect to a TV or monitor through the HDMI port. Also, I like how I can control the scope through the free app with my phone. I wont go into all the options. There are just too many to list. What I dont like, or what I think they can improve on: When saving a description for a reference waveform, the amount that you can type in is very limited. Next, for automotive use, the leads and probes that come with them, are just too short. I ended purchasing the Pico professional 3 meter colored leads to use with the Micsig. Next, I would like if it came in a case that would fit the scope, its accessories, and additional scope accessories. Not to mention, for $800 a case should be included. I did purchase the Pico secondary ignition probe/paddle, the Pico 600 amp current probe, the Pico 60amp current probe, the Pico secondary ignition clamp, and they all work on the Micsig. Ive used each of them with the Micsig to diagnose a number of vehicles. It would be nice to have a case to put them all in with the Micsig. Also, I would recommend to Micsig to work on an automotive waveform library that Micsig owners can access to share and use waveforms. That was one of the options Pico offers that really shines. Lastly, I have been unable to play the recordings I made on the Micsig on my laptop. This may be do to the fact that my MacBook is a little outdated, not sure. Overall; I absolutely love my Micsig, and am glad that I went with ATO1104. I look forward to each time I use it. Other than not being able to playing back the recordings on my laptop, Ive had no problems with it, and really enjoy using it. I even purchased a signal generator, just to be able to play with my Micsig in the house when Im not diagnosing a vehicle. If your on the fence, go for it, you wont be disappointed. I tried adding some videos to this review but am having technical difficulties. If you want to see a few, you can go to my YouTube page: Atoms Worksop to see a few. Or on Micsigs channel In playlist under automotive oscilloscope. I had more videos diagnosing a few vehicles, but long story short, accidentally deleted them. Final thought: I was really on the wall between the ATO1104 and the STO1104 with the knobs on the right side. I think having the knobs could help while diagnosing cars when you have gloves on. I am still very interested in that one. Not sure if it has the automotive presets. If I pick it up, I will leave a comparison review, and make some videos between the two. Thanks, Adam. Thanks

Nice scope, but little usage support if you're a newbie.

Hardly any support materials on how to actually use this scope for a first-timer. I had to spend hours finding out how to fine-tune this for it to display the data I needed. After all that, it's a nice scope.
