The Chinese New Year ( Spring Festival) is the celebration of the new Lunar year. There's no set date for CNY because it goes according to the lunar calendar, from January 1st till 15th (the full moon). And today, it happens to be the last day of the Spring Festival! So I'd like to show you a little holiday cheer from our CNC machine. They are pretty simple to make but a nice & quick project on CNC to celebrate this holiday.
I made a small set of Chinese zodiacs, which are 12 Chinese zodiac signs in the following order: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig. Each sign is named after an animal, and each animal has its own unique personality. For example, 2019 is the year of pig and most people born in the year of pig tend to be innocent, altruistic and they live their lives with passion and dedication.
Rat/Ox/Tiger
Rabbit/Dragon/Snake
Horse/Goat/Monkey
Rooster/Dog/Pig
Note: If you want to use laser cutting as I did, make sure you have got the laser safety goggles to protect yourself! And if you are designing your own file, you might need to make the text bigger to show it more clear.
