It works great once I figured out how to connect it to my control board. I have a 2018PROVer and my control board does not have a mating jack to plug the unit into. I had to solder my wires directly to the pins on my board. My board has two separate jacks and not one as pictured in the instructions.

The laser is definitely powerful enough for a hobby laser. Probably wouldn't want too much more powerful for a non-enclosed and ventilated case.

The product is good and simple to setup. But note that you are getting only 5W so you are limited by the cutting capability.
