Works great! Easy to put together. Search you tube for assembly videos. Prints are much better than my XYZ printer. Best printer for the price in my opinion.
This is my first 3D printer and it works great! I had trouble with the Hatchbox filament sticking to the bed but the Inland filament sticks well and is one of the cheapest ones. This printer has a huge print area which is nice to print bigger things. Make sure to check out the top parts to print for it on thingiverse
I've bought the CR-10-PLUS. Overall I'd say it's a good 3D printer and I'd recommend it to anyone. Few notes: The head stopped heating after the first 30 seconds. I tried to heat up the head using hair dryer, that told me that the thermistor is good. I checked everything and googled a few hours then I've found a post recommending to take off the head closure and clamp on the heater wire connection to force the connection. That did the trick. Heating working since then. Hair spay helped to stick the first layer very well. I know that threr is very good documentation on the internet including youtube videos, etc. But some sort of documentaion paper would be good. I got the product and had no idea what is Z, and X, where to plug them? Also how to level the bed. Again it is on the internet... I got some sort of sticking paper rolls (3 of them) and it is not in any guide. What should I do with them? I think to place it on top of the bed but why? It's impossible to put it on without air bubbles :/
Best printer for the money hands down. The quality you get off the Cr-10 out of the box is staggering. I was able to set it up in 20min and have it printing. I absoultely recommend this printer to friends and aspiring makers because the price and the quality out of the box.
The best thing about this printer is that you can print huge things and its very reliable! See my pictures! This is an incredible value and a very respectable 3D printer. The instructions could be a bit better but it is pretty easy to assemble. Huge build volume and for me the fact that it is sold on Amazon is actually a huge selling point. I have used and reviewed quite a few 3D printers so I think by now I know the difference between a cheap machine and a good buy. I've used a lot of VERY expensive 3D printers and I'm surprised how well this machine holds it's own! This is an incredible value and a very respectable 3D printer. This is a great printer, was able to get a very nice first print with just a little bit of work levelling the bed. Building the printer probably took only about half an hour. Overall construction of the printer is very robust, pretty much all metal parts. Even the extruder/hot end combo is pretty good, I tried a few different types of filament with no jamming or other issues. I would definitely recommend this sainsmart printer for a beginner or even more advanced users.
I have bought two of these CR-10s from SainSmart. I know the brand, and they do well with other items, and I like this product a lot. It is big, not only in print volume but also in just size and finding a place for it. It is somewhat simple to install/assemble. Two screws hold each side of the Z rails to the bottom, and then some screws hold the z endstop and another bracket. The wiring is also labeled, so it is fairly easy. I would hope they extend some of the wires in the future. After that, a simple leveling and it is ready to go. Print quality is very good, I haven't had issues with that. I have only been able to get it to print PLA well. PETG and ABS don't work too well as the bed doesn't go above 60C. It is slower than other printers I have, but I think that is due to its size. The only problem I have had is on both printers, the thermistor/heater went out almost simultaneously on each printer. I emailed their customer service, and they were quick to respond and send out replacements for me. The replacements were shipped from China, like the printers, so it took a little to get, but they were quick to help.
I had no problem assembling this printer as there are youtube videos that show you how. I am very pleased with its performance. Would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy machine to learn from. I would recommend changing the coupling between the z stepper motor and the z shaft from the aluminum one and replace it with stainless steel. Check it out on the cr10 location on facebook.
