What Is a Hybrid Spoilboard?
A hybrid spoilboard combines two workholding systems into a single platform: a grid of threaded inserts for clamps, vises, and fixtures, paired with a sacrificial HDF (High-Density Fiberboard) surface that absorbs the final pass of your cut and protects your machine bed.
The result is a surface that works for both precision fixturing and freeform cutting — without needing to choose between one or the other.
Most CNC users run into the same problem: a bare aluminum T-slot table is great for clamping but impossible to surface-plane, while a plain spoilboard is easy to resurface but offers no fixed reference points. The PRONAX Hybrid Spoilboard solves both at once.
Product Overview
The Genmitsu PRONAX Hybrid Spoilboard is a bolt-on platform kit designed specifically for PRONAX Spark (6090) and PRONAX Forge (8080). It mounts directly to the PRONAX Y-axis modules using the machine's existing rail slots — no drilling, no modification to the frame.
The platform consists of an aluminum extrusion base frame with front, rear, and center crossbars, topped with custom-cut HDF panels held in place by upper and lower clamping strips. The HDF surface can be resurfaced with the spindle and replaced when worn — standard spoilboard workflow, compatible with the machine it sits on.

The Hybrid Spoilboard is engineered to the exact rail spacing and Y-module geometry of each PRONAX platform. It is not compatible with other CNC machines.
Assembly Overview
Installation follows four steps and requires no tools beyond the included hex keys:
- Install leveling feet and drag chain bracket onto the center crossbar, then arrange front, rear, and center rails on a flat surface.
- Pre-fit HDF panels between rails using M5 × 20 screws — leave slightly loose at this stage.
- Pre-fit clamping strips onto HDF panels using M4 × 10 screws — leave slightly loose.
- Mount Y-axis modules onto the platform frame using M5 × 20 screws, align everything, then torque all fasteners in sequence.
